Creative Brief:
The five self-titled albums in Tha Carter series span Lil Wayne's personal journey as an artist. Struck by how his tattoos, multiplying over that time, visually represent that life story, I was inspired to feature them in the design concept for this 7-inch vinyl box set. Contrasting gold foil and craft paper, the tattoos wrap the outer box before revealing in a powerful artist photo on the inner book cover.
